Founder of the Sacramento Archaeological Society more than a decade ago, David Abrams (58) was Professor of Anthropology at Sacramento City College since 1980. Prior to that, he was a member of the original staff at Cosumnes River College and taught there for ten years.

Dave founded the Sacramento Archaeological Society in 1990 and the outstanding speakers he attracted were world renowned. Under the name Past Time Archaeological Tours, Dave and his wife, Diane Kelly-Abrams, led archaeological study trips to Europe and Africa for the last 20 years. Their knowledge of archaeology and rock art made these trips educational, memorable, and fun.

He will be sorely missed.
